While studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU), I found my passion for bronze casting. After graduating with a degree in Sculpture/Installation, I opened my foundry called Shed 28 in Lambton Shores, Ontario.
The bronze cast sculptures on this page are made at my foundry, in a limited series of 28 editions. I designed, made, and finished them. (I even pour the metal myself!)
The concept for each sculpture is drawn from a broad range of topics, including my experience of an acquired brain injury. The sculptures touch on memory, shared nostalgia, and humour. As I continue to grow as an artist, my work has shifted from hyperrealistic figurative forms and vegetables to abstraction. My interest in various topics and technical casting challenges have shaped my practice as an artist. Curiosity and in-depth research projects are the common threads.

Q+A
Which piece of art you've created is your favourite, and why?
"Skully" is my favourite piece because it reminds me of where I started casting. It was my first bronze sculpture, and I fell in love with the bronze casting process while taking an elective course in 2015.
Why is it important for people to have art in their home or life?
A collection of art speaks to the personality of a home, creating a narrative tied to the people's history within the space. History isn't just for textbooks and museums; some of the most exciting stories I've seen are within personal art collections.
When I'm not making art, I'm (a) ...
Drawing in my sketchbook, taking notes and learning something new.
